Happy New Year!
We had a great party with some of our closest friends and family to celebrate the new year and us, as we move away! My mom sweetly made a bag and had everyone give advice, write notes, or throw some gas money into the bag. They we all hilarious, sweet, and thoughtful! Thank you to all who came, we will miss you guys so much, but its not forever! Forewarning: Jacob’s face in some of these, he was “getting tired” he said.
Has anyone seen 21 Jump Street?!
We have!
I had to put this last one in there, just so you could all closely examine everyone’s face, including Miley’s. Sorry guys.
Remember that check I spoke about last week? Yea well, it’s turning out to be more than double of what we were expecting and it’s arriving the middle of this week, which is when we are leaving! How unbelievably amazing is that? Now I hope you all know that I’m not trying to brag here, that is the opposite of what I am doing.
“If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.”
John 5:31
“The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe.”
John 19:35
There are two main reasons why I testify of the goodness in my life: To show the world that it is not me nor Jacob that makes my life full, it’s the Lord, and for it to become true for someone else; so that they can have provision in their life; so that they may hear and believe!
This testimony of His goodness and provision is for all of you. Confess with your mouth that you believe Jesus to be your provider. Jesus is provision. Jesus, our Provider. In our case, we have no other option, but to trust God for all of our needs. We didn’t have any money for food, He provided. We didn’t have a way to pay for our Uhaul, he provided. We didn’t have money for Christmas and birthday gifts, He provided. We don’t have jobs and we don’t have our own home, YET. We know, because He is.
This time next week, I will be blogging from beautiful Colorado and hopefully sharing all the photos that we will take along the way. We leave early Thursday morning, so please pray for safe travels, perfect weather, attentiveness, ease as we drive a large truck neither of us have driven before, and that I will be able to drive more than 4 hours. Let’s be honest, I suck at driving long distances. Okay anything over 3 hours. Thank you, Lord, for my husband! Pray for him. I love him.
Also! Be on the lookout on social media for something special before we leave. I know, you get it, we’re moving. Just give us a break, it’s our (mostly my) first time.
I looooove thiiiiiis. You look so pretty and teensy tiny in these pics – like, Jesse and Joel are giants compared to you.
